After our department chair Andrea Montrasio received her B examiner license in summer 2023, we were now able to hold our first kyu exam in the new dojo without external examiners. Children and young people were tested. For many of them, it was their first kyu exam ever

While the parents looked on expectantly, the children warmed up under Thomas' guidance.

After the greeting, the actual test took place, during which no photos were taken so as not to disturb the children's concentration. The three areas tested were Kihon (basic training), Kumite (partner exercises) and Kata (form running). All the children showed solid, in some cases even outstanding performances and were therefore delighted to receive their well-deserved examination certificates.

We are looking forward to many more exams in our dojo.
