On 3 March, 8 members of our Heidelberg Kyudo department made the journey to Rottweil. The head of the Kyudo department there, Marion Moritz, had organised a basic training course for Taihai, which is the choreography required for examinations, for example. Not only the handling of bow, arrow and shooting glove and the associated shooting are important, but also the correct forms of movement. Our participants were able to learn and deepen these skills in a small, stress-free group.
Unfortunately, the doors had to remain closed due to the temperatures. This meant that our participants could only take a look through the window at the beautiful outdoor area of the Rottweiler Dojo throw. The enthusiasm was great, some of us had never had the opportunity to practise in a different environment before. Especially not in a Japanese-style dojo like the one in Rottweil.
We learnt a lot and you could feel that the motivation of all participants has grown.
