Kyudo New Year Shooting 2026: Target games, balloons and fire horses - a successful start to the new year at PSV Heidelberg!
On 9 November 2025, our department chair Adriane Marksteiner (2nd from left) successfully passed the 2nd Dan Wado-Ryu examination. Under the watchful eyes of examiners Imai (9th Dan), Sousa (8th Dan) and Pellegrini (7th Dan), she gave an outstanding performance. Of the 16 participants in Hamburg, 12 passed, including our friends Markus Tak (third from right) and David Jennings (second from right), both achieving their 1st Dan.
We warmly congratulate Johann on achieving 1st kyu and Ruth on achieving 2nd kyu. Both took part in the examination course in Bad Dürkheim on the last weekend in November and passed their exams with flying colours. Susanne and Ulrike also took the 4th kyu exam at Makiwara on 27 November and were successful. Now they can – or must – practise at 28 metres to prepare for the 3rd Kyu.
More than just sport School, deadlines, expectations and yet sometimes something is missing. Do you want to move, get rid of stress and clear your head? Aikido offers this: movement with meaning, concentration with energy and community without competition.
On 22-23 September 2025, we had the honour of having Lia Suzuki, 7th Dan Shihan, with us for two unforgettable evenings of Aikido. Her flowing style and inspiring teaching once again left a deep impression.
From 27 to 29 June 2025, Yamashima Takeshi Shihan visited our dojo for the second time. In cooperation with the Aikido-Schule Mannheim e.V., we were able to welcome numerous international participants.
