Defending against an attacker who strikes with a stick, effectively continuing self-defence if the first defence does not work, but also free defence against attacks to the neck while standing and on the ground: Our five candidates had to show what they had learnt in these and other tasks.
On 29 March 2026, Markus, Veith, Massimo, Leon and Falk faced the critical eyes of the examiners and spectators to earn their green belt in Ju-Jutsu. The examinees' repertoire was characterised by dynamism, control and versatility of techniques.
A new perspective was also offered to Patrick and Christian (both 1st DAN). After successfully completing the examiner licence course, they took on the role of kyu examiners for the first time and assessed the performance of the candidates together with Uwe (2nd DAN), an examiner with many years of experience.
‚Our candidates made it really easy for us. We saw very good techniques and therefore had little to criticise, but a lot to praise,‘ explains Patrick.
