General Meeting 2026

The Polizeisportverein Heidelberg e. V. held its general meeting on 11 March 2026. In addition to reports from the Executive Board, public relations and finances, the actions of the Executive Board were ratified. Markus Krabel and Karl Kiening were re-elected, Ulrich Meinberg takes over as Managing Director.

Johannes Gry successfully passed his 1st dan kyudo examination via video at the PSV Heidelberg dojo. The group is delighted to welcome its new dan holder.

More focus, more movement, more togetherness – aikido training for young people is underway

For four weeks now, the new Aikido youth training programme has been regularly inspiring twelve motivated young people. Through movement, focus and fun, they learn how to roll, fall and dodge, find balance and learn basic techniques from Aikido Shinki Rengo. Playful elements alternate with periods of concentration, strengthening team spirit, respect and self-confidence. Parents report that it provides a valuable balance to everyday life. Training takes place on Tuesdays from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the dojo of the Heidelberg Police Sports Club. Free trial training and a 6-week taster course for £25. You can join at any time.

Ju-Jutsu state examination in Rastatt

On Sunday, our Ju-Jutsuka Christian, Mario and Patrick took their 1st Dan exam in a demanding test in front of highly decorated examiners from the Baden Regional Association. Marinos and Joachim confidently passed their 1st Kyu (brown) exam on the parallel mat area. Hats off to them for this achievement and for their courage in taking on such an exam.

Barrier reduced PSV website

Since today, we have been using the Eye-Able® software from Web Inclusion GmbH in implementation of EU Directive 2102* to provide users with a barrier-reduced view of visual content.

Obituary Armin Hug

We bid farewell to Armin Hug, who taught the styles of Ving Tsun Kung Fu and Escrima in our club with great commitment and expertise.
