Our traditional Kyudo New Year shooting took place at the start of the Year of the Wooden Snake. The specially designed mato depicted the counselling snake from Disney's Robin Hoodand her hat was set as the target. Julia hit it most accurately and secured victory!
Another target game brought tactical challenges: A mato with half red and half white stickers was shot at crosswise by two groups - whoever hit the wrong side gave points to the opposing group. This made for some exciting and amusing moments.
The balloon shooting was once again particularly popular and was great fun. During the break, we fortified ourselves with pastries we had brought along and enjoyed our time together. A successful start to the new kyudo year!
