Aikido - 2 evenings with Lia Suzuki Shihan

On 9 and 10 September 2024, our Aikido department is organising a special training, two special evenings with Lia Suzuki Shihan, 7th Dan, Aikikai. You will find more information soon on our new event page.

Lia Suzuki Sensei is a student of Yoshinobu Takeda Shihan and national director and founder of Aikido Kenkyukai International USA. She is also the author of the book "The Teacher" from the Aiki Dialogues.

She began her Aikido training with the famous William Gleason Sensei in 1982. She then lived and trained intensively for almost 10 years under Takeda Shihan in Japan.

Suzuki Sensei's experience in Japan also gave her the opportunity to train with the late Yamaguchi Sensei and other eminent masters.

She currently lives in Los Angeles and runs several dojos in her network in the USA and the UK. Suzuki Sensei travels the world a lot and also teaches in dojos outside her network.

Her goal is to promote inclusion in the world of aikido and to popularise aikido among young people and people in their 20s and 30s.
